ONE MORE TIME CHARITY SOCIETY
What an amazing group of supporters we have!
The Lower Mainland of BC has suffered our first frost, fog and cold snap of the year. It’s early December and it’s cold! Times are difficult for a lot of people but especially the homeless and less fortunate. This cold weather is so early and is damn hard to bear. Imagine you’re laying on the street, a piece of cardboard is your mattress, or you have a spot to rest for the night but must be outside all day long. Your clothes are worn out, you are shivering with cold and you haven’t eaten a hot meal in a couple of days! You need new underwear, socks, a toque, gloves and a warm winter coat. Used outer clothes are okay BUT new underwear & socks would make the best gift.
Fortunately, that’s NOT YOU. Perhaps, you sit in your recliner in front of your fireplace; you smell your hot meal cooking and you are reflecting on how good life is. Maybe you’re like Henning & Don, another year older and not spending as much money on your adult kids or grandkids. Maybe, just maybe, you have a kind heart and would like to help out those less fortunate?
Here’s your chance. Click on the DONATE button at the bottom of this page. Although any amount is greatly appreciated; $5, $10, $15, but if you give $20 or more we will issue you a charitable tax receipt to help you on your 2023 tax return. One More Time Charity is volunteer run; we pay no salaries. This means that 100% of your donation will be used to assist those in need in our communities of the Lower Mainland. Our goal is to raise $5000. Of course, we want to exceed our goal and with your help, we can.
We are going to provide turkeys and hams for two downtown shelter kitchens and they will turn them into 1000+ meals. One More Time will also hand out 1300 meals in December. Also, we’re going to purchase new underwear, socks, & gloves. We continue to support Moms & babies in need with diapers and formula.
But here’s the best part, because of your generosity, you will enjoy an amazing warmth in your heart this holiday season. After all, isn’t that what the holidays are about, giving and sharing!
